Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation
Dorchester Bay EDC was founded in 1979 by local civic associations to address the problems of economic disinvestment, unemployment, crime, community tensions and the shortage of quality affordable housing undermining Boston’s Dorchester neighborhoods.Today, with both economic growth and income inequality on the rise, many of these problems stillremain, even as we are faced with new challenges such as gentrification and displacement.
