The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for protecting and serving our citizens by enforcing federal, state, and local laws, while holding ourselves to the highest standards of performance and ethics. Our agency will serve the citizens of Dorchester County, Maryland by placing a strong emphasis on effective law enforcement strategies. Our deputies patrol approximately 980 square miles of Dorchester County and provide police services to the estimated population of 32,000 residents and tourist. We are dedicated to the protection of life, property, the constitution of this State and the constitution of the United States of America.
