Silvije Jelic

Silvije Jelic began their work experience in 2002 at Brodograđevna Industrija Split d.d. (Brodosplit d.d.) as a tracer, where they stayed until 2009. In 2009, they joined Dorian LPG as a 2nd Engineer and later became the Chief Engineer. The exact duration of their roles at Dorian LPG is not specified.

Silvije Jelic's education history begins with their completion of a Bachelor of Marine Engineering (B.E.) from the University of Split- Faculty of Maritime Studies, which took place from 2012 to 2016. Prior to this, Silvije attended Technical High School Split, where they pursued a Shipbuilding Technician degree.

In addition to their formal education, Silvije has obtained various certifications. These include proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats operations from the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, which they obtained in July 2021. silvije also acquired basic training certification from the same institution in June 2021. Silvije holds a Ballast Water Treatment System certification from PANASIA, obtained in May 2021.

Silvije has completed advanced training for liquefied gas tanker operations, both cargo operations and general operations. The former was certified by the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in November 2019, while the latter was acquired from The Government of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in March 2020. silvije also possesses a Medical First Aid certificate from the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, earned in November 2019.

Other certifications achieved by Silvije include Basic Training for liquefied gas tanker cargo operations, received from the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in July 2019. silvije holds the Chief Engineer (Unlimited) title granted by both the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure in October 2018 and The Government of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in February 2019.

Several additional certifications in different areas have been obtained by Silvije. These include Advanced Fire-Fighting, Seafarer with Designated Security Duties, Accident/Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Course, Energy Conservation Course, Risk Assessment Course, Tank Inspection Course, and Use of Leadership and Managerial Skills, all obtained between 2016 and 2018. Silvije has also received other certifications, such as the Seagull CES 4.1 Test Certificate from Seagull Maritime in March 2017, Media Response Training from Dorian LPG in October 2016, and the Dorian Hot Work Policy and Application of Leadership and Teamwork Skills from Diverso Impex in August and July 2016, respectively.
