Eileen Oberlander is the controller and director of finance for the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation and its operating foundations. Her oversight includes directing financial management, reporting and regulatory compliance across the Doris Duke organizations. Oberlander is responsible for the areas of tax, audit, investment accounting, budget and payroll administration. She evaluates and monitors the foundation’s financial and operational controls for risk and compliance.
Prior to joining the foundation in 2004, Oberlander was vice president, institutional segment controllers, at Prudential Financial in Newark, N.J. and vice president, corporate controllers at Deutsche Bank in New York. Oberlander has also worked in internal audit and corporate accounting for The Coca-Cola Company as well as in public accounting. Oberlander is a certified public accountant (CPA) with a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Rider University.
