Karen Jacobsen is the assistant to the president and board liaison at the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, where she provides executive, administrative and developmental support to the president and CEO, manages board meeting details, compiles board book materials and assists trustees.

Prior to joining the foundation in 2011, she was the assistant to the CEO at City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization. Jacobsen earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Berkeley College and studied producing for film and television at New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
