Romain Khamvongsa is a highly experienced engineer specializing in subsea engineering and structural design, currently serving as a Senior Subsea Engineer at DORIS Engineering since January 2019. Prior to this role, Romain worked at TechnipFMC as a Subsea Installation Analyses Engineer, focusing on finite element analyses for the installation of subsea structures and risers. Romain's earlier experience includes working as a Structural Engineer at ArcelorMittal in the R&D Automotive Applications department, where expertise in designing advanced steel solutions and conducting crash and stiffness analyses was developed. An early internship at Snecma provided foundational knowledge in investigating dynamic responses in aerospace applications. Romain holds a Master of Science in Structures Crashworthiness and Impact from Cranfield University, a degree in Mechanical Systems Engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pierre and Marie Curie University.
