Omar Gómez Capellín

Omar Gómez Capellín has extensive work experience in the explosives and mining industry. Omar is currently the Vice President Latin American Region (Key Systems) - General Manager at dormakaba. Prior to this role, they worked at FAMESA EXPLOSIVOS as the Business Development Manager in charge of commercial lines, after-sales, technical service, fleet, and marketing. Before that, they were employed by MAXAM, where they held various positions including Business Development Manager, General Manager responsible for P&L and growth plans, and Sales and Supply Chain Manager. Omar started their career at Minersa Group as a Production Manager and also worked at Union Española de Explosivos as a Technical Commercial Engineer. Throughout their career, Omar has demonstrated strong leadership, expertise in sales and marketing, and a focus on achieving organizational goals.

Omar Gómez Capellín obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the Universidad de Oviedo in the field of Technical Mining Engineering from 1992 to 1998. Omar then pursued further education, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ESADE and Universidad del Pacífico from 2018 to 2021. Additionally, in 2019, they attended the International Business Program at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
