David Verbree

Embedded Software Engineer at DornerWorks

David Verbree is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in embedded software engineering and agricultural research. Currently an Embedded Software Engineer at DornerWorks since November 2014, David has previously held roles as an Assistant Professor in Crop Physiology, Agronomy, and Irrigation at the University of Tennessee, where significant research and extension work focused on water and nitrogen requirements for crops and the evaluation of agricultural techniques. As the Executive Director and Founder of Verbree International, David led agricultural development projects in West Africa, overseeing funding and project implementation. Earlier roles at Smiths Aerospace and Shelter For Life International involved engineering and project management, respectively. David holds a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from Texas A&M University, a Master's degree in Agronomy from Penn State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Calvin University.
