John Sloan

John Sloan is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in FPGA design and hardware engineering. Currently serving as a Senior FPGA Engineer at DornerWorks since May 2023, John previously held the position of Software Engineer V at Technology Service Corporation from January 2016 to May 2023, focusing on designs for Xilinx MPSoC and RFSoC FPGAs. Prior to this, John was a Senior Hardware Engineer at Digium, where responsibilities included PCB design and validation for PCI and PCI-Express cards. Additional experience includes roles at Advanced Optical Systems, ibml, and Southern Research Institute, contributing expertise in PCB design, VHDL implementation, and image processing algorithms. John holds both a Bachelor and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
