Steve Mcknight

Steve McKnight received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Texas in 1974, and his Ph.D. degree in biology from the University of Virginia in 1977.

Over the past four decades, he has carried out research in the fields of gene expression, biochemistry, and biological regulation at the Carnegie Embryology Department in Baltimore and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

He has founded or co-founded several biotechnology companies and continues to direct a research laboratory at UTSWMC focused on enigmatic proteins characterized by low sequence complexity.
