DOSOMIK is a Canadian film production company rooted in the creative energies of the Global South and its expansive diasporas. We exist to support and develop stories that feel lived-in — not manufactured. Narratives that are emotionally resonant, politically conscious, and formally bold.

In a time where content is constant and attention is currency, DOSOMIK seeks something deeper: work that honours time, care, and emotional labour. We prioritize feeling over formula, and cultivate stories that embrace cultural specificity without apology. Our projects experiment with form when it serves meaning, and recognize that true impact doesn’t always need to announce itself loudly.

For us, production isn’t just a logistical grind — it’s a space for transformation. We strive to build infrastructure that reflects care as much as craft, and to reimagine what a production company can be: not just a machine that delivers content, but a creative ally that listens, nurtures, and co-evolves with its collaborators.

Our mission is to create space for brave ideas to breathe, especially those emerging from underrepresented geographies, languages, and aesthetics.

Our vision is a world where stories from the Global South and its intersections travel farther, linger longer, and land with clarity and truth. We aim to be the connective tissue between a filmmaker in Toronto and a sound designer in Lisbon, a writer in Agra and a producer in Münster — bridging diverse creators who share an emotional pulse.

We build workflows that respect both deadlines and day jobs. We support cinema that’s not defined by format, but by intent. And we champion sustainable ecosystems where support continues beyond funding — into feedback, distribution, and impact.

We’re not just producing films. We’re producing possibility — across borders, bandwidths, and belief systems.
