Sharada V Narayanan

Sharada V Narayanan has worked in various roles in the data science and engineering fields since 2012. Sharada is currently a Senior Data Scientist at dotData | Accelerate Data Science, a role they have held since 2020. Prior to that, they were a Data Scientist at Ford Motor Company from 2019 to 2020, where they collaborated with the Supplier Risk management team to identify data, analyze and model characteristics to predict risky suppliers. Sharada also analyzed usage patterns and identified product improvement strategies for a supplier risk identification tool, and enabled competitive price negotiations by forecasting prices of raw materials used in automotive parts. From 2017 to 2019, they were an Operations Research Analyst at Engineering Technology Associates, Inc. and a Statistical Analyst at Walmart from 2016 to 2017. In 2016, they were a Data Analytics Intern at the Carlson School of Management, where they consulted for a Level I Trauma Center hospital to forecast patient census. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Virtualization Engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where they executed server migrations and data center virtualization leading to consolidation of the data center, and ensured the smooth operation of the project and timely deliverance of activities in accordance with ITIL best practices.

Sharada V Narayanan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Biotechnology from RV College of Engineering between 2008 and 2012. Sharada then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Business Analytics from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management between 2015 and 2016. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera Course Certificates in June 2019, R Programming from Coursera Verified Certificates in June 2014, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox from Coursera in May 2014.
