Miguel Fernandez

Miguel Fernandez has a diverse work experience in various industries. Miguel started their career as a Geologist in 2005, working for Control Ingeniería y Servicios, S.A. and the University of Oviedo. Miguel then transitioned into the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Teledetection, working as an Analyst at Indurot from 2006 to 2012. In 2014, they joined IBM as an Administrator/Consultant for GIS. Miguel also had a brief role as the Director of Alluvial Diamond Exploitation at Guiter Mining in 2014. In 2015, they founded DOTGIS, where they served as the CEO and Project Manager until 2022. Concurrently, they took on teaching roles at Escuela de Organización Industrial and Universidad Camilo José Cela as an Adjunct Professor for Big Data and Landscape Architecture, respectively.

Overall, Miguel has a strong background in GIS, Teledetection, and project management, with experience in teaching and entrepreneurship as well.

Miguel Fernandez obtained a Licenciado degree in Geología from Universidad de Oviedo, from 1998 to 2005. In 2013, Miguel pursued a Máster en administración, planificación y dirección de proyectos with a focus on Económicas, Gestión y Dirección de proyectos at Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D.
