Cornel Amariei

Cornel Amariei has been working in the tech industry since 2009. In 2009, they founded and taught at the ICHB Robotics Club at Liceul Teoretic International de Informatica Bucuresti. In 2011, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at MB Technology LTD, where they worked on the self-driving system in the cargo gamma-ray scanning robot Roboscan, constructed sensor systems using industrial sensors, and automated the robot using B&R PLCs. Cornel also led the design of an electromechanical ATM card security system. In 2014, they authored the Arduino Development Cookbook for Packt Publishing. From 2015 to 2020, they held various roles at Continental, including Head of Innovation, where they led the invention, R&D, validation, and business case of future products, and Senior R&D Engineer. In 2020, they became the CEO and Founder of .lumen, a company that builds glasses that help the blind live a better life.

Cornel Amariei obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Jacobs University Bremen between 2012 and 2015.
