Mike Tavares

Mike Tavares has extensive experience in the field of technology and operations management. Mike is currently serving as the Head of Platform Operations at Dotmatics since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Eliza, an HMS Company, from November 2017 to May 2022 as the Director of DevOps, Infrastructure, and Cloud Engineering. From September 2016 to November 2017, Mike worked as the Director of Platform Automation and Cloud Governance at EBSCO Industries, Inc. Mike held the position of Director of DevOps and Quality Engineering at EBSCO Information Services from June 2014 to September 2016. Before that, they served as the Manager of Release Engineering and Quality Engineering at the same company from September 2012 to June 2014.

Mike'searlier experiences include managerial roles at Nokia, where they worked as the Manager of Release, Tools, and Quality Engineering from December 2011 to September 2012, and as the Lab Manager and Development Operations Engineer from May 2008 to December 2011. Mike also worked at PALM as a Contractor - Messaging, Lead Operations Engineer from October 2007 to May 2008. At Palm, they held the positions of Manager of Enterprise Messaging Lab from 2005 to 2007 and Test Manager for Email and Messaging from 2001 to 2005.

Before transitioning to the technology industry, Mike worked at anyday as a Senior QA Lead in 2000. Prior to that, they worked at icast as a QA Engineer and System Administrator from 1998 to 2000. Mike'scareer began at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. as an IT Project Coordinator in 1998.

Mike Tavares is currently enrolled in the Master of Science - MS program in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Mike previously attended Endicott College in 2016, where they studied Information Technology. Before that, from 2002 to 2006, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Management Information Systems (MIS) at Thomas Edison State University. In 2000, Mike completed the Network Engineer/Management Program at CLC in Houston, TX. From 1992 to 1997, they studied Business Administration at Salem State University. Additionally, Mike holds certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from Scrum Alliance. Mike also has certifications in MCSE Windows 2003 and MCSE Windows NT from Microsoft.
