Christoph Clausen

Chief Scientist and Software Architect at Dotphoton

Christoph Clausen has held a variety of positions in the field of quantum science and technology. In 2005, they began their career as a summer student at CERN. In 2006, they completed their Master Thesis with Prof. Bloch at the University of Mainz in Germany. In 2007, they were a visiting researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From 2008 to 2013, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Universit\u00e9 de Gen\u00e8ve, where they conducted research in quantum communication, developed solid-state quantum memories, and demonstrated quantum storage of photonic entanglement in a crystal. From 2013 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Vienna Center for Quantum Science and Technology. Finally, from 2017 to present, they have held the roles of Chief Scientist and Software Architect, as well as CTO, at Dotphoton.

Christoph Clausen obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Geneva between 2008 and 2013. Prior to that, they earned a M.Sc. in Physics from Aarhus University between 2002 and 2007.
