Zahra Amirabadi has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Zahra worked as a Character Artist at Double Fine Productions since 2017, starting as an Associate Character Artist and later transitioning into the role of Character Artist in August 2020. At Stanford University, Zahra worked as an Accessory, Mask, and Assistant Set Designer, as well as an Actress for the play "Tarabnameh" from September 2015 to November 2016. Zahra was also a part of the team at Stanford University for "Jana & Baladoor: A Play in Shadows" as an Assistant Puppet Designer from April 2012 to June 2012. Prior to that, Zahra had various roles at DigiPen Institute of Technology, including Visual Development Artist, 3D Generalist, Producer, Compositor, Teaching Assistant, Life Drawing Open Studio Monitor, and Academic Affairs Assistant from May 2014 to July 2015. Zahra also worked on a 3D adventure/horror game called "Diluvium" as an Art Director from January 2014 to April 2014. Before their time at DigiPen, Zahra worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at Tag Graphics Workshop from April 2008 to November 2008, a Graphic Designer at 8th Art Co from March 2006 to November 2007, and a Graphic Designer at Red Pencil Co from August 2004 to January 2005. Zahra also had a Graphic Designer Internship at Simia Co from June 2002 to August 2002.
Zahra Amirabadi completed their education in a chronological manner. Zahra began their academic journey in 2000 at Shariaty Technical College, where they attained an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design by the year 2002. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, Zahra pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Communications at Shahid Rajaee University. Finally, in the years 2013 to 2015, Zahra attended the DigiPen Institute of Technology, earning a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Digital Art.
