Kurt Hartley is an accomplished engineer with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University - Idaho, obtained in 2015. Currently serving as Ag Lead Mechanical Engineer at Double L since April 2015, Kurt specializes in managing intellectual property, implementing best design practices, and establishing an Enterprise Data Management system in SolidWorks for efficient manufacturing data delivery. Prior experience includes designing potato harvesting equipment and redeveloping transport trailers as a Mechanical Engineer and intern at Double L. Additionally, Kurt was a Manufacturing Shop Intern at BYU-Idaho, leading training for CNC machinery, and worked as a Team Lead at Melaleuca, focusing on training and task management.

Double L is a farm equipment manufacturer that specializes in potato equipment. It manufactures the planters that put the seeds in the ground, the harvesters that dig the potatoes out of the ground, and the conveying and handling equipment that cleans and loads the potatoes into storage or onto trucks. Double L is taking the innovations of American agriculture to other areas of the world. It improves farm production and efficiency worldwide, enabling farmers to produce enough food to feed the ever-growing population.
