Daniel Menard has a diverse work experience in the field of game development, software engineering, and web development. Daniel co-founded Double Stallion Games in 2013 and served as the CEO. Prior to that, they founded their own game development company called Crankshaft Games in 2008 and worked as the CEO. Daniel managed a team to create a video game called "Party of Sin" for Xbox and PC, where they programmed in C# using the XNA framework and developed various game engine and tools.
In 2011, Daniel joined Morgan Stanley as a Technical Associate where they upgraded a BI tool to use the open-source OLAP server Mondrian, resulting in improved performance and maintainability.
Before that, they worked as a freelance web developer from 2003 to 2011, creating and managing websites for various clients.
In 2010, Daniel served as the Technical Co-Founder of Groupideo where they worked with the founding team to determine requirements and developed an online video-conferencing service. Daniel also managed Flash Media Server and Wowza Media Server.
Daniel worked as an Analyst for MCDS Informatique from 2008 to 2010, consulting for Sanofi Aventis in the Pharmaceutical sector. Daniel met with clients to discuss requirements and developed a Microsoft Access database to manage sales reps and territories.
In 2009, Daniel had a co-op position as a Software Engineer at Electronic Arts where they worked on systems programming for the Wii racing title Need for Speed: Nitro and improved the level build process.
Lastly, they served as the Project Lead and Programmer for Eternal Silence from 2003 to 2009, managing a team of 16 members and implementing various features in the Source Engine (Half-Life 2).
Daniel Menard attended John Abbott College from 2005 to 2007, where they pursued an Honours Science degree with a focus on Pure and Applied Science. Following this, they enrolled at McGill University from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Software Engineering degree in the field of Software Engineering.
