Shanekia Williams

Shanekia Williams, Ph.D., has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as Principal for the Dougherty County School System since July 2018 and as an Adjunct Professor at Albany State University since January 2018. Prior roles include Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach within the Dougherty County School System from 2014 to May 2018, and Teacher at Sumter County Schools from July 2009 to February 2014. Shanekia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Capella University (2013-2019), an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in Mathematics from Nova Southeastern University (2011-2012), a Master of Education (MEd) in Early Childhood Education from Albany State University (2009-2011), and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Early Childhood Education from Albany State University (2005-2009). Shanekia Williams completed secondary education at Sumter County Comprehensive High School (2000-2004).
