Regan Lal

Regan Lal, APR has extensive experience in communications and marketing. Regan is currently the Director of Marketing & Communications at Douglas College, a position they have held since December 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Associate Director, Communications at Douglas College, where they focused on improving internal communication structures and processes and building a student-centered culture. From 2015 to 2019, they were the Manager of Communications at Douglas College.

Before joining Douglas College, Lal worked as the Manager of Communications & Educational Media at ImpactBC from 2012 to 2015. From 2004 to 2012, they were the Communications Counsel and Manager of Operations at Reputations. Lal also has experience in political communications, having served as the Communications Coordinator for a 2005 re-election campaign and as a Communications Consultant for the BC Government Caucus in 2004. Additionally, they have experience as a Youth Representative at the Red Cross - Northern BC and Yukon from 2000 to 2002.

Regan Lal, APR, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), completed between 1997 and 2002. In 2006 to 2007, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Public Relations Management from Royal Roads University. Later in 2008, Regan attended the UBC Sauder School of Business, studying The Art of Facilitation. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner in 2020 and achieved accreditation as an Accredited in Public Relations (APR) from the Canadian Public Relations Society, Inc. in 2018.
