Trish Rosseel

Director, Learning Resources & Records Management at Douglas College

Trish Rosseel has a diverse and extensive work experience in the library and higher education sectors. Trish most recently served as the Director of Learning Resources & Records Management at Douglas College since November 2017. Prior to that, they worked as the Associate University Librarian, Public Services at the University of Alberta from August 2014 to August 2017. Trish also held various roles at The University of British Columbia, including Head of the Walter C. Koerner Library, Interim Head of the Humanities & Social Sciences Division, and Teaching & Learning Librarian from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they have experience in the public sector as the Manager of Projects and Initiatives at the Government of British Columbia's Public Library Services Branch from October 2007 to February 2009. Trish has also worked at Simon Fraser University as the Head of the Reference Division, WAC Bennett Library, from January 2005 to October 2007. Furthermore, they have served as a Library Consultant at BCcampus from November 2004 to August 2006. Trish began their career as an Information Literacy Librarian, Humanities & Social Sciences, at The University of British Columbia Library from August 2000 to January 2005. Before that, they held the role of Program Officer for Distance Learning at the Association of Research Libraries from August 1998 to August 2000. Trish started their library career as a Librarian/Analyst at the BC Electronic Library Network from October 1997 to August 1998.

Trish Rosseel completed their BA Honours in Spanish Language & Literature from Queen's University from 1986 to 1991. Trish later pursued an MLIS in Library Science from Syracuse University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1995.
