Douglas County School System
Megan Carson is a dedicated Special Education Teacher with extensive experience in early childhood education. Currently employed at Douglas County School System since August 2017, Megan specializes in adapting instructional materials to meet individualized learning plans. Previous roles include serving as a Pre-K Lead Teacher at Kiddie Kollege and Marine Corps Logistic Base, where lesson plans were developed based on GELDS standards to prepare students for kindergarten. Additionally, Megan started as a Child Development Program Assistant Teacher at Navy and Marine Corps Civilian Careers, focusing on creating a nurturing environment and monitoring child development. Megan holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, alongside a degree in Early Childhood Education, all from Albany State University.
