Shelia Vickers

Shelia Vickers is an experienced educator with a focus on middle school STEM education. Currently serving as a Lead Teacher Mentor at Douglas County School System, Vickers has taught 6th-8th Grade STEM Connections since August 2008. Prior roles within the same school system include teaching 6th Grade Math and Social Studies, as well as serving as Team Leader for multiple grades. Vickers began teaching in July 2002 at Coweta Public School as a Computer Connections Teacher. Vickers holds several degrees, including a Specialist in Teacher Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, a Master's in Information Systems from Auburn University at Montgomery, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jacksonville State University, complemented by a Teacher Certification in Middle Grades Math and Social Studies from the University of West Georgia.
