Bob Zelken

Director - Commercial Leasing at Douglas Emmett

Bob Zelken has over 30 years of work experience in the commercial real estate industry. Bob began their career at JMB Realty Corporation / Heitman Properties as a Leasing Associate, where they represented corporate and institutional interests and implemented leasing programs for LA-area projects. Later, they joined Jones Lang LaSalle and held various positions including Associate, Vice President, Senior Vice President, and National Director/ Senior Vice President. In these roles, Bob managed large corporate accounts, developed new business, and negotiated complex real estate transactions for clients such as Microsoft, Aon, Bank of America, and more. Currently, they are working for Douglas Emmett, Inc. as the Director - Commercial Leasing, where they are responsible for leasing, market analysis, capital budgeting, marketing communications, and value enhancement strategies for a portfolio of 2.0 million square feet of office and retail space owned by the REIT.

Bob Zelken completed their MBA in Real Estate & Finance, with a focus on Finance and Real Estate, from USC Marshall School of Business. Bob pursued this degree from 1991 to 1994. Prior to that, Bob obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing and Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they attended from 1982 to 1986. During their undergraduate studies, Bob also spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Dundee, focusing on Economics, from 1984 to 1985.
