Robert Thomson

Robert is an Associate Engineering Geologist at Douglas Partners in Brisbane.

He joined Douglas Partners in 2019, from another consultancy, as a Senior Engineering Geologist bringing his many years of consulting experience in geotechnical site investigations, contractor supervision, geological mapping, and construction monitoring.

He has worked on a variety of projects throughout Queensland, Western Australia, Victoria, and South Australia, contributing his expertise in geotechnical site investigations, slope assessments, geotechnical analysis, permeant works (dam design and slope stabilisation options), construction monitoring and advice.

Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Geology) in 2007 and gained his Postgraduate Diploma in Engineering Geology in 2008, both from the University of Canterbury. He is also a member of both the Australian Geomechanics Society and International Association of Engineering Geologists.
