Mary Tighe

Mary Tighe has extensive work experience in various roles related to doula care and childbirth. Mary is currently the Managing Director of DoulaCare Ireland, a national doula agency that provides families with a premium level of care. Mary started this role in February 2017 and continues to work in this position. Before that, they owned and operated BirthingMamas, where they offered monthly Gentlebirth workshops and developed their own range of aromatherapy products for pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Mary began this venture in 2009 and their role in BirthingMamas is ongoing. Additionally, Mary has experience as an Information Officer in the Citizens Information Service, where they worked from March 2005 to October 2016.

Mary Tighe attended University College Cork from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and History. Their field of study focused on Women's Health. In addition, Mary Tighe has also obtained a certification in Massage Therapy from I.T.E.C.
