Georgios Panos serves as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since June 2024 and holds an Honorary Assistant Professor position at the University of Nottingham since March 2023. Additionally, Georgios is an Academic Editor for the Journal of Ophthalmology at Hindawi Publishing, an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Medicine (Ophthalmology section), and an Associate Editor-in-Chief for Drug Design, Development and Therapy at Dove Medical Press, contributing to journals with notable impact factors. Prior experience includes a Consultant Ophthalmologist role at Nottingham University Hospital and various clinical fellowships across prestigious institutions, focusing on vitreoretinal surgery and retinal diseases. Georgios completed a Doctor of Medicine by Research in Ophthalmology at the University of Geneva and a Professional Certificate in Medical Statistics at Stanford University, following a Medical Degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
