Tapio Väänänen

Tapio Väänänen has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Tapio began their career in the Finnish Navy as an Engine Officer, where they gained experience in military service and participated in various international events and trainings. Tapio then moved on to work as a Commissioning Engineer at Aker Yards before joining Inspecta Oy as a Principal Assessor and Product Manager. Tapio then transitioned to Neste Oil, where they held the positions of Automation Manager and Head of Maintenance, leading efficiency projects and implementing organizational changes. After their time at Neste Oil, Tapio became the CEO of TAL GROUP OY, overseeing the growth of two leading district heating construction companies in Finland. Most recently, Tapio has been the Managing Director at RESOURCEFACTORY Oy, focusing on skilled people and company resources in the industry sector. Currently, Tapio is working at Dovre Group as the Business Development Director and Head of Business Development for Dovre Finland.

Tapio Väänänen has a diverse education history. In 1999, they started their academic journey at the University of applied sciences, where they pursued a B.Sc degree in Production Economics and successfully completed it in 2002. Later on, they furthered their education at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, starting in 2009 and finishing in 2010. During their time there, they studied Business Administration and Management, focusing on General Management.

In 2009, Tapio Väänänen also enrolled at the University of Turku, specifically in their EMBA program, which they completed in 2015. This program, centered around Management and Leadership, provided him with a deeper understanding of these fields.

In 2011 and 2012, Tapio Väänänen participated in business programs offered by IMD, where they gained additional knowledge and skills in the business domain.
