Ryan Hall

Ryan Hall, Ph.D., serves as an Associate Research Scientist at Dow, specializing in elastomers product R&D and thermal/rheology characterization since July 2019. Key contributions include developing odor-reducing formulations for carpet backing, enhancing recyclability of footwear soles, and creating economical materials for thermoplastic polyolefin roofing. Additionally, Ryan holds the position of Education Chair in the Thermoplastic Materials and Foams Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers, fostering educational opportunities in the field. Previous experiences include mentoring at the University of Michigan, serving on executive boards, and conducting research with industry leaders such as Procter & Gamble and 3M. Ryan earned a Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering and a Master's in Materials Science from the University of Michigan, following a Bachelor's in Materials Engineering from Iowa State University.
