Zack Zhao is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Managing Counsel for Dow Chemical Company's Industrial Intermediates and Infrastructure business group since August 2009. In this role, Zack provides comprehensive intellectual property (IP) legal support, encompassing IP acquisition, transactional matters, and enforcement. Previously, Zack held the position of Managing Counsel and Asia Pacific Region Chief Intellectual Property Counsel, leading a team of over 10 professionals to provide IP legal support across the Asia Pacific region. Zack’s leadership includes recruitment and training of legal staff, goal setting, and operational oversight. Prior to Dow, Zack served as the Asia Pacific Region Chief Intellectual Property Counsel for Rohm and Haas Company and worked as an Associate Attorney at Arnold and Porter LLP. Zack holds a JD from Indiana University Maurer School of Law, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Wake Forest University, and a B.S. in Biology from Tsinghua University.
