Kanishka Dilshan De Silva

Kanishka Dilshan De Silva has a diverse work experience in software engineering and consulting. Kanishka started their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Zone24x7 in 2012 and then worked as a Software Engineer at Zaizi Asia from May 2013 to September 2013.

From October 2013 to March 2022, Kanishka worked at Pagero, where they held the position of Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Pagero, they played various roles including software developer, scrum master, architect, and mentor. Kanishka gained valuable experience in cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.

In 2013, Kanishka also worked at VirusTotal as a Contributor, showcasing their expertise in the field.

Between 2013 and 2022, Kanishka had a significant tenure at Creative Software. Kanishka worked as a Software Engineer from October 2013 to November 2014, engaging in research and development as well as the design and development of enterprise applications. Kanishka was later promoted to the role of Senior Software Engineer, where they led a small team, played the Scrum master role, and managed implementations and integration support for various protocols and platforms. Kanishka then took on the position of Associate Technical Lead, closely collaborating with the product owner, and finally served as an Associate Architect from January 2018 to March 2022. In this role, they assisted software development teams with system designs, code quality improvements, and consulted on DevOps. Kanishka also mentored and trained software engineers, worked closely with product owners, senior Architects, and the CTO.

Most recently, Kanishka joined doWhile and Volvo Cars in March 2022 as a Software Engineering Consultant, further expanding their expertise in the industry.

Kanishka Dilshan De Silva completed their B.Sc. Special(Hons) in IT (specializing in Software Engineering) from SLIIT, where they studied Computer Software Engineering. Kanishka attended SLIIT from 2008 to 2012.

Before attending SLIIT, Kanishka studied Physical Science at Richmond College from 1994 to 2007, where they completed their 2007 A/L degree.

In addition to their formal education, Kanishka obtained a certification in "Scala and Spark for Big Data and Machine Learning" from Udemy in December 2018.
