Becca Anderson

Becca Anderson currently serves on the DSANI Board as the Secretary. She joined the Board of Directors in January of 2021 after being a part of the 2020 Buddy Walk planning committee. DSANI became a part of her family’s life after a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome for their son, Ayden, in 2019. She is excited to help give back to her community. She graduated in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. She began her teaching career in Houston, TX and received her Master’s degree in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Houston. She also lived overseas in South Africa for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. In 2007, she moved back to Indiana to be closer to family. Currently, she works in Fort Wayne as a middle school ELL teacher. In her free time, she loves to take walks with her family and dog, play with her son, read, play pickle ball and golf, and spend time with her husband and family at the lake. She has been married to her husband, Mike, since 2013, who is also a teacher.
