Dean Riley

Dean Riley is an accomplished Central North Island Operations Manager (Energy) at Downer, a position held since 2023. Previously, Dean had significant leadership roles, including Operations Manager at Northpower from 2019 to 2021 and General Manager at Road Science, where they oversaw national responsibilities for the company’s bitumen and asphalt business. Dean served as General Manager of Business Services at Tauranga City Council from 2005 to 2010, where they were responsible for corporate support services and the legal division. With a solid academic foundation, Dean holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from the University of Waikato, earned between 1985 and 1991. Additionally, Dean worked as an Independent Contractor from 2017 to 2019, assisting a construction company with project management and business improvement.
