Bettina Swigger

Bettina Swigger currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Downtown Boulder Partnership since November 2023, focusing on enhancing the civic, economic, and cultural vitality of downtown Boulder. Previously, Swigger was the Chief Executive Officer of Downtown SLO, where efforts included economic support, beautification initiatives, and event coordination. Additional experience includes serving as the Executive Director of Festival Mozaic, fostering a diverse musical celebration on California's Central Coast, and leading the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region from its inception as an arts advocacy organization. Swigger has also been involved with Americans for the Arts as a member of the Emerging Leader Council and participated in the 2010 Colorado Springs Leadership Institute. Educationally, Swigger holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature, Music, and Spanish from Colorado College.

Downtown Boulder Partnership

The Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of downtown as the heart of the greater Boulder community. As the umbrella organization for the Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District (BID) and the Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives (DBCI), the Partnership works tirelessly to make downtown Boulder a national model of success. The Downtown Boulder Partnership (DBP) is a 501(c)6 nonprofit / membership-based organization. DBP promotes the civic, economic and commercial vitality of downtown Boulder - while helping preserve its historic and cultural environment as the heart of the greater Boulder community. DBP supports downtown businesses through public policy advocacy and provides staff to implement the missions of the Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District (BID) and Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives (DBCI). The Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District (BID) is a quasi-municipal corporation and political subdivision of the State of Colorado formed in 1999. The BID encompasses a 49-block taxing district approved by downtown property owners to cultivate a cleaner, safer and more vibrant downtown community. The tax revenue is used by the BID to provide maintenance services that supplement those provided by the City of Boulder and to provide a comprehensive consumer marketing and communication program. Downtown Boulder Community Initiatives (DBCI) (formerly known as the Downtown Boulder Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit created in 2017. The organization's mission is to engage visitors and locals alike through arts, culture, innovation and inclusive, community-driven experiences in downtown Boulder.
