Nikia Summerlin

Nikia Summerlin is an experienced urban planning professional currently serving as an Urban Planning Manager at Downtown Dallas, Inc. since August 2023. Prior to this role, Nikia worked as a Planning Analyst at Kimley-Horn and as a City Planner for the City of Ferris. Additional experience includes a position as Development Coordinator for Dallas County and involvement with the Dallas-Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals as Membership Chair. Nikia's career began in 2003 with roles in customer service and finance, including positions at Century Campus Housing Development, Frost Bank, and McEwen & Associates. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Planning from Arizona State University, along with studies at The University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Texas at Tyler.
