Duy Tran is the Coordinated Entry & Housing Placement Manager at DESC. Duy has been with DESC since March 2020 and in their current role, they manage a team that provides short term rental assistance to single adults and families living without stable housing. Duy strives to balance contract compliance with the needs of the people they serve. Duy is passionate about centering the lived experiences of clients when making decisions about how to utilize DESC's resources.
Prior to their current role, Duy was an Outreach Case Manager with DESC's Homeless Outreach Stabilization and Transition Team. In this role, they were responsible for outreach to individuals living outside who were struggling with mental health illnesses and connecting them with services. Duy also maintained communication with external stakeholders such as legal entities, medical providers, other service providers, and government workers to develop strategies for addressing individual homelessness in Seattle. In addition to their outreach work, Duy led the Emergency Response Training for 500+ employees at DESC biweekly.
Duy Tran earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Whitman College.
They work with Julie Nordgren - Housing Developer, Danielle Burt - Senior Housing Program Manager, and Del Lausa - Senior Housing Program Manager. Their manager is Noah Fay, Director of Housing Programs.
