Joel Hermosillo has a diverse work experience timeline. Joel started their career as a Rental Agent at U-Save Car & Truck Rentals Imperial Valley in 2015 and held the position until 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Payless Auto Insurance and later as an Economic Development Intern at the City of Menifee. Joel also interned at the South County Economic Development Council during the same year. In 2019, Joel became a Management Aide at the City of Menifee and eventually transitioned into the role of an Economic Development Intern. Most recently, in 2022, they joined the Downtown San Diego Partnership as the City Center Business Improvement District Manager, and in 2023, they took on the position of Director of Business Engagement.
Joel Hermosillo attended Palomar College from 2014 to 2015, where they studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Joel then transferred to Imperial Valley College, where they earned an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General from 2016 to 2017. Finally, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts and Sciences with a focus on Public Administration at San Diego State University from 2017 to 2018.
