Downtown Streets Team
Maurice Lloyd is an experienced professional with a diverse background spanning multiple industries, including community service, retail management, fire safety, and technology. Since August 2018, Maurice has served as Team Lead at Downtown Streets Team, enhancing the business district of Berkeley through outreach initiatives and environmental projects. Previous roles include Department Manager at Wal Mart, Crew Lead at Cal Fire, and various positions in the hospitality sector where Maurice focused on customer engagement and operational efficiency. With a foundation in technical roles as a Network Engineer and Founder/CTO of Code-Men Corporation, Maurice combines practical expertise with ongoing education in Industrial Engineering at Delta College, where an Associate of Science degree is in progress.

Downtown Streets Team strives to end homelessness by enabling unhoused people to restore their dignity and rebuild their lives. Team members (program participants) prepare for permanent employment and housing by participating on volunteer teams that serve their local communities. Please join us on the journey to end homelessness. Noted as a Best Practice in addressing homelessness by the state of California.
