Will Truong

Will Truong has a diverse work experience in software engineering and management roles. Will is currently working at Doxel as a Software Engineering Manager, where they are responsible for scaling up the team and infrastructure to handle construction sites. Prior to this, they worked at Project Ronin as a Software Engineering Manager, focusing on transforming cancer care through predictive technology. Will also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Project Ronin, focusing on developing cancer intelligence software. Before that, they worked at Health Fidelity as a Technical Team Lead Manager, leading the Risk Analytics team and designing an API for physicians. Will also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Health Fidelity, building RESTful web services and spearheading the transition to Scala and Apache Spark for data processing. Earlier in their career, they worked at Fluid as an R&D Software Engineer, where they built RESTful web services utilizing NLP and machine learning techniques. Will also took a personal sabbatical in 2015 to travel Southeast Asia. Before that, Will worked at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems as a Senior Software Developer Team Lead and as a Software Developer, where they worked on unmanned aerial systems and led software teams for various projects. Will also worked at Northrop Grumman Information Systems as a Technical Lead and as a Software Engineer, focusing on developing applications and subsystems. Overall, Will Truong has a strong background in software engineering, management, and problem-solving in various industries.

Will Truong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Davis. Will also completed a Semester Abroad program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where they focused on Computer Science. Additionally, they obtained a Data Analyst Nanodegree from Udacity. In terms of certifications, Will obtained a Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark certification from Coursera, offered by École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Will also holds a Machine Learning: Classification certification from the University of Washington through Coursera. Furthermore, they completed the Machine Learning course by Andrew Ng from Stanford University and acquired a Machine Learning: Regression certification from the University of Washington through Coursera. Lastly, Will obtained an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark from the University of California, Berkeley.
