Muna Herzi

Muna Herzi is a dedicated healthcare professional and researcher with diverse experience in patient care and scientific inquiry. Currently serving as a Patient Care Technician and Patient Care Companion at Doylestown Health since June 2021, Muna provides essential support in patient safety, personal care, and emotional well-being. A recent Research Associate in the Diversity Scholars Program at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Muna utilized the CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing tool to investigate potential HIV therapeutics. Additional experience includes tutoring STEM subjects at Temple University's Student Success Center and managing a college residence hall as a Resident Assistant, where Muna fostered an inclusive community. Muna gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Fels Institute for Personalized Medicine, focusing on HIV-1 Tat proteins and neurodegeneration mechanisms. Muna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Temple University, completed in 2023.
