Timothy Jones has a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Army. Timothy has held various roles since 2002, including Battalion Commander at the 9/101 Assault Helicopter Bn, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from 2002 to 2004, Regiment Executive Officer at the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment from 2004 to 2005, Deputy Commander at the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) from 2005 to 2007, Deputy Chief of Staff, Special Operations Aviation at the U.S. Army Special Operations Command from 2007 to 2008, Garrison Commander at Fort Wainwright from 2008 to 2011, and Vice President of Administration at Doyon Utilities from 2011 to 2018. Most recently, they have been serving as Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Alaska (North) since 2018.
Timothy Jones received their Bachelor of Science in History from the U.S. Military Academy between 1980 and 1984. Timothy then went on to earn their Masters in Administration from Central Michigan University between 1996 and 1997. Lastly, they earned their Masters in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College between 2006 and 2007.
