Mick Messman

Mick Messman has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Mick is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer at DPH Biologicals. Prior to that, they worked as an Independent Board Director at Groundwork BioAg, where they were responsible for collaborating with the board and executive leadership team in strategy formulation and development of key relationships. Mick also participated in fundraising and corporate governance activities.

Before joining Groundwork BioAg, Messman was involved in various roles at GreenLight Biosciences, Inc. Mick served as a Strategic Advisor, overseeing all commercial aspects of an RNA technology-based agricultural business. Mick also held the position of Chief Commercial Officer, where they managed market enablement strategies and developed partnerships with global crop protection companies.

Messman's prior experience includes working as the Chief Operating Officer at Clarke and holding a directorial position at DuPont. At DuPont, they built and led the seed applied technology and biologicals business, generating significant annual revenue. Mick also played a crucial role in creating a new business across Dupont Crop Protection and DuPont Pioneer, resulting in additional annual revenue.

Before their tenure at DuPont, Messman worked at DuPont Pioneer as a Director of Product Marketing, where they led brand strategy and oversaw product marketing activities. Mick also served as a Senior Marketing Manager, developing the Pioneer Premium Seed Treatment downstream business.

Messman began their career at Syngenta, where they held various roles including District Sales Manager, Global Brand Manager, and Key Account Manager. In these positions, they managed sales teams, led cross-functional teams, and developed new markets for seed treatment products.

Mick Messman attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at Colorado State University from 2007 to 2010. In addition, they completed a program in Marketing and Sales Excellence at INSEAD in 2007 and 2008.
