David W. Downes, P.E., MBA has held various positions in the engineering and business development fields. From 2014 to 2013, they were the Director of Strategic Planning at DPS, Inc. and Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development at Vanguard Systems, Inc. where they analyzed existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities and designed strategic marketing plans. From 2012 to 2004, they held various roles at MidMarket Capital Advisors, LLC, Cisco, CitiCordless, and AirTouch Communications. At Cisco, they created and executed go-to-market and solution sales strategies designed to penetrate highly competitive markets, grew revenue from $0 to $100M+ within 18 months, and successfully recovered revenues ranging from $5M to $10M a year.

Downes, P.E., MBA has a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from California State University-Sacramento, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from California State University-Sacramento, a Master of Business Administration from National University, and a Master of Hospitality Administration from University of Nevada-Las Vegas. David also holds a certification as an Electrical Engineer from the State of California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
