Eric Shields

Eric Shields is an experienced Associate Scientist at DPT Laboratories since October 2013, specializing in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing for biopharmaceutical products. Prior to this role, Eric worked as a Chemist at Texas Research International from January 2008 to October 2013, where responsibilities included preparing formulations and analyzing chemical properties. Eric began a professional career as a Laboratory Technician at Texas Research International Geo Synthetics, focusing on sample preparation and mechanical testing from September 2007 to January 2008, and also served as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, utilizing density functional theory to study water deposition on TiO2 lattices. Eric obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from The University of Texas at San Antonio, completing studies from 2002 to 2005.
