Lauren Oakden-Rayner

Lauren Oakden-Rayner is a highly experienced medical professional and researcher specializing in medical imaging and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Institute for Machine Learning since January 2022, Oakden-Rayner has also held the position of Director of Medical Imaging Research at the Royal Adelaide Hospital since November 2018. Additionally, Oakden-Rayner has been a Medical Specialist in Radiology at Dr Jones & Partners Medical Imaging since August 2017. Prior experience includes a medical training role at Flinders Medical Centre from January 2009 to August 2016. Oakden-Rayner holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Artificial Intelligence from the University of Adelaide, earned between 2016 and 2021, and completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology from 2009 to 2016. An earlier degree in Medicine was obtained from the University of Adelaide, awarded between 2001 and 2007.
