John Kottappuram

John Kottappuram has a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in various roles in different companies. John started their career as an Energy Audit Assistant at Esbesons Engineering Company in 1997. In 1999, they worked as a Project Engineer at Snamprogetti Engineering B.V. John then joined Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in 2000 as an Electrical Engineer, where they worked until 2007. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer at ENOC. Currently, they are the Head of Electrical Engineering at Dragon Oil, where they have been working since 2009.

John Kottappuram has a diverse education history. In 1992-1997, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Mangalore University. In 2007, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute. The same year, they also completed a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from ICFAI University. In 2017, John received an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification in Quality Management System from Bureau Veritas. Furthering their education, in 2021, they earned a Certified Energy Manager certification in Energy conservation & management from the Association of Energy Engineers, US. Lastly, in 2022-2023, they pursued a Master of Business Laws degree from the National Law School of India University, and concurrently obtained a Chartered Engineer certification in Engineering from the Engineering Council, UK.
