Liam Spooner

Liam Spooner has a diverse work experience in the field of rigging and lifting inspection. Liam most recently worked at Dragone as the Head Acrobatic Rigger starting in December 2022. Prior to that, they were the HSE & Technical Rigging Manager at East West Events from August 2022 to January 2023. Liam also worked as a Technical Duty Manager at Expo 2020 Dubai from September 2021 to June 2022. Liam gained valuable experience as the Assistant Head of Rigging Department at La Perle by Dragone from August 2017 to October 2021. Liam was previously a Manager at Height Specialists from August 2016 to August 2017. Liam started their career as a Senior Lifting Engineer at Safety Services Group in January 2010 and held that position until December 2014. Liam also worked at Applus Velosi, where they had roles as a Senior Lifting Inspector from April 2015 to June 2016 and as an Interim Department Manager from December 2014 to April 2015.

Liam Spooner attended The Greensward College from 1994 to 2001, where they completed their GCSE & B-TECH Diploma. Additionally, Liam has obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2011, they obtained the LEEA - Part 1 certification from LEEA. In 2012, they obtained the LEEA - Lifting Equipment General (LEG) certification, also from LEEA. Liam then obtained the IRATA Level 1 certification from IRATA International in 2014. In 2015, they obtained the BOSIET certification from OPITO, as well as the H2S & B.A Safety Training certification from the same institution. Liam also obtained the Mobile Vertical (3a) and Mobile Boom (3b) certifications from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) in 2015. Finally, in 2019, Liam obtained the IRATA Level 2 certification from IRATA International. Most recently, in 2021, they obtained the 1a 3b certification from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF).
