Roman Gershman

Roman Gershman has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Roman is currently a Co-Founder at DragonflyDB since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Principal Engineer from March 2020 to November 2021. Before AWS, Gershman held multiple roles at Ubimo, including VP R&D from June 2018 to February 2020 and Chief Architect from May 2013 to May 2018.

Their earlier experiences include working at Google as a SW engineer from December 2006 to April 2013, Biosense Webster as a SW Engineer from July 2005 to December 2006, IBM Research as a SW R&D from December 2003 to June 2005, and an internship as a Software Engineer at IBM from 1999 to 2001. Gershman has expertise in designing and building high-scale serving systems, building analysis pipelines at scale, and implementing geocoding algorithms for real-time and offline use.

Roman Gershman obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1998 to 2006.
