Oleksiy G.

Oleksiy G. has a diverse work experience starting in 2001 at AF Technologies LLC as a Consultant until 2007. Oleksiy then worked at the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2005 as a Computer Lab Technician. In 2005, they joined McKesson and held various roles including Information Systems Specialist, Network Administrator, Information Security Engineer in the PMO, Incident Responder, Senior Incident Responder, SOC Technical Lead, and eventually became a Principal Threat Hunter. Oleksiy G. joined Dragos, Inc. in 2020 as a Senior Industrial Threat Hunter and later became a Principal Industrial Threat Hunter. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Detection Engineer at Dragos, Inc.

Oleksiy G.'s education history includes a Basic Motorcycle Maintenance course at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2014. In 2020, Oleksiy obtained a Certification in Information Security from the SANS Technology Institute, as well as a Certification in Cyber Threat Hunting from Active Countermeasures. Oleksiy also obtained multiple certifications from the SANS Technology Institute in 2018 and 2017, specializing in Information Security. Additionally, Oleksiy completed a Certification in Computer Forensics from the International Society of Forensic Computer Examiners in 2012-2013. In terms of additional certifications, Oleksiy obtained the GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID) certification from GIAC Certifications in 2020, the Certified Computer Examiner certification from ISFCE, LLC. in 2018, and the Security+ and Network+ certifications from CompTIA in 2011 and 2010 respectively.
